Instead of electric guitars and drum sets, Beirut focuses on dreamy Eastern European, Balkan folk music with a bit of indie rock scrunched up somewhere in between. The music of Beirut, led by multi-instrumentalist Zach Condon, takes your mind on a journey and carries you far away. Here are some songs I recommend, but of course there is always more waiting. So if you like what you hear, be sure to give Beirut a try.
